Marine Hull / Boat Insurance

In Hong Kong it is required by law that the owners of a boat or marine pleasure craft obtain an insurance policy on the vessel. Private boat insurance will cover your vessels Hull, Machinery, and the boat's fixtures and fittings.

Hull insurance is designed to protect against property damage. The hull of a boat is its outer shell and will usually be insured on a specified perils basis (the coverage will apply to specific perils only). Pleasure craft insurance will also typically provide third party insurance, protecting your liability towards third parties in the event of a collision or accident.
