The B8 PHEV is built on BYD’s proprietary 2.0T DMO platform—where "DM" stands for Dual Mode (plug-in hybrid) and "O" represents off-road vehicle. Paired with a 2.0L Turbo engine and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, it delivers a maximum combined output of 550 kW and 760 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. Its plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system offers a pure electric range of 115 km and a combined total range of 1,040 km.

To elevate its off-road prowess, the B8 is equipped with the DiSus-P intelligent hydraulic body control system, which adjusts suspension height and damping in real time. It also features multiple off-road drive modes—including Mud, Sand, Snow, Rock, Mountain, Wading, and Intelligent Terrain modes—making it well-equipped to tackle challenging and rugged terrain.  Inside, the cabin is available in either a 6-seater (2+2+2) or 7-seater (2+3+2) configuration. The motor and electronic control components (including the powertrain, motor, motor controller drive, motor controller and DC assembly, and high-voltage electronic control assembly) have a warranty period of 8 years or 150,000 kilometers.

All vehicle lights, steering pressure monitors, suspension systems, and ball joints are covered by a 4-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty.
