DONGFENG Motor Group is a traditional state-owned automotive enterprise in Mainland China. Established in 1969 from the former Second Automobile Works, the group possesses a deep legacy and extensive technical expertise in vehicle manufacturing. In addition to producing various types of passenger vehicles, DONGFENG also manufactures commercial vehicles, such as light commercial vans, heavy-duty trucks, and commercial buses.

Currently, DONGFENG Motor Group owns multiple proprietary brands, including M-Hero, VOYAH, DONGFENG NAMMI, and DONGFENG Forthing. At the same time, it has established several joint ventures with foreign automakers, including Dongfeng Honda, Dongfeng Nissan, and Dongfeng Renault.

The Dongfeng Nammi Box is a city car, measuring 4,020 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,660 mm. Its size is similar to the BYD Dolphin and ORA 03. The Nammi Box boasts 70 kW of power and 160 Nm of torque, equipped with a 43.89 kWh battery, offering a range of 430 km under CLTC (Consumer-Centered Vehicle) standards. It can be charged to 80% in just 30 minutes.

Although the Nammi Box is small, it offers a wealth of intelligent safety and operating systems, including vehicle stability control, traction control, brake assist, electronic brakeforce distribution, and hill start assist. Driving-wise, it features three driving modes: Standard, ECO, and Sport, to suit different driving styles.

The interior features numerous wavy stitching details, giving it a youthful feel. It is equipped with a 12.8-inch central touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay. Other features include wireless phone charging, air purification, and a heated and ventilated driver's seat. The trunk space is 326 liters.

The Nammi VIGO, with its relatively rugged and boxy body lines, measures 4,306 mm in length, 1,868 mm in width, and 1,645 mm in height. Both its design and size clearly target the BYD Atto 2 as its main competitor. In terms of wheelbase, the Nammi VIGO, at 2,715 mm, slightly surpasses the Atto 2's 2,620 mm. The manufacturer has also made good use of the cabin space; the rear seats can be folded completely flat to create a flat cargo area, and the trunk capacity is 500 liters. It also features a "top-and-bottom" door design to enhance practicality.

The Nammi VIGO is equipped with a 51.87 kWh battery, providing a range of 471 km under CLTC (Clear and Turbocharged) conditions. It can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 18 minutes. Performance-wise, it delivers 120 kW of power and 230 Nm of torque, sufficient for local road conditions and everyday use.

The equipment is also very complete, including a 12.8-inch touchscreen, an 8.88-inch digital instrument panel, ambient lighting, Apple CarPlay, and a ventilated and heated driver's seat.

The Dongfeng Friday (known as Dongfeng Fengxing 05 in mainland China) is a pure electric SUV with a streamlined body and dimensions of 4,600 x 1,860 x 1,680 mm. With a 2,715 mm wheelbase and a tall body, it offers not only spacious interior but also good driving visibility. The rear luggage compartment has a capacity of 480 liters, sufficient for carrying large luggage.

The new vehicle is equipped with the FX-Drive intelligent driving system, supporting L2+ level assisted driving functions, including 12 active safety features such as forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, 360-degree panoramic imaging, and intelligent speed limit reminder. It also features parking radar and ABS and EBS braking systems. The Dongfeng eπ 007 boasts an extremely streamlined exterior with a four-door, sloping rear design and a drag coefficient of only 0.209 Cd, lower than the Model 3. The Hong Kong version comes in three variants, equipped with either a 56.83kWh or 73.48kWh battery. In terms of performance, the top-of-the-line all-wheel-drive version is the most powerful, possessing 400 kW of horsepower and a torque of up to 640 Nm, achieving 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.9 seconds. The rear-wheel-drive long-range version offers a 620 km range under the CLTC standard, with 200 kW of horsepower and 320 Nm of torque sufficient for daily use.

The interior follows a minimalist design, with physical buttons on the steering wheel and all functions and settings accessed via a large 15.6-inch touchscreen in the center console. Other features include wireless phone charging, 64-color ambient lighting, ventilated and heated front seats, and Apple CarPlay. Notably, it features WANOS surround sound technology, equipped with 19 speakers, two of which are integrated into the driver's headrest.

In terms of appearance, the Friday REEV is almost identical to the all-electric Friday, but the Friday REEV has a completely different system at its core. The Friday REEV uses a range-extended electric vehicle, which is common in Taiwan. The drive method is the same as that of electric vehicles, with a motor providing power. However, it also has an Engine to provide power to the battery. In other words, it is similar to Nissan's e-Power, which can provide range to the vehicle by adding gasoline or charging. The manufacturer claims that the combined range can exceed 1,200 km.

The Friday REEV features a 1.5-liter Engine and a 120 kW motor with 240 Nm of torque. The battery capacity is 31.94 kWh, and the pure electric range is about 200 km. The pure electric mode is sufficient for daily commuting. Even for long journeys, the range can be replenished by refueling, greatly reducing range anxiety.

Quantum architecture chassis

Dongfeng's independently developed Quantum Architecture chassis is characterized by eliminating the front floor and seat beams in traditional vehicle structures, forming a compact body structure with the under-body battery, applicable to everything from small commuter cars to large SUVs. Furthermore, the Quantum Architecture boasts high scalability, increasing cabin space and improving rigidity, resulting in more even stress distribution on the vehicle body.

Intelligent driving experience

Dongfeng's vehicles are equipped with high-performance chips, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155/8295, supporting multi-screen interaction, facial recognition, and voice assistants, creating a technologically advanced user experience.

Range-extended electric vehicles

Friday REEV is currently the only range-extended electric vehicle from a mainland Chinese brand in Hong Kong. It uses the Engine as a "generator" to charge the battery, and can increase the vehicle's range by adding fuel or charging.

WANOS audio system
